Compare and contrast life in foraging societies with life in agricultural societies after the Agricultural Revolutions.
Possible thesis statements were discussed and a sample one would meet the expectations of an AP evaluation:
During the period of 8000BCE-600CE, both foraging and Agricultural societies existed, yet it is evident that the foraging lifestyle was largely abandoned in favor of the settled habitats that emerged after the Neolithic Revolution. Though both societies were able to provide their populations with sustenance, they both had significant risk associated with their lifestyle choice, such as the risk of disease found in Neolithic villages.
This is just one example and it could be improved upon in your own writing. It does however address both similarity and difference, makes a point and gives a specific detail.
If you are having trouble with your thesis, please feel free to post it for feedback.
On a final note - I did want to include a little bit of fun that could not make it into our very full lessons this week and thus here is a little song about Cleopatra (remember that there were many Cleopatras - not just one!). Hope you enjoy!
